Online registration is now available for Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals' (HFTP(R)) Caribbean Finance and Technology Professionals Conference. For the third year, the conference gathers industry professionals to discuss important issues surrounding the Caribbean region. It is scheduled for December 7-9, 2008 at the luxurious Rose Hall Resort & Spa, a Hilton Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The conference, produced by HFTP, focuses on hot finance and technology topics in the Caribbean region and includes tabletop exhibits and networking with fellow colleagues and vendors. Aligning with the interests of Caribbean hospitality industry professionals, HFTP has designed an education program with timely topics that cover Caribbean travel and tourism trends, how to maximize existing technology and upgrades, operation internal controls and more.
With numerous tropical storms damaging the Caribbean in 2008, "Insurance Tool Belt - Make Sure You Have the Proper Tools/Knowledge" with Stanley Smith, CPA, principal with Smith Orloff & Associates, addresses a topic that is on the minds of many Caribbean hospitality professionals. The session discusses tips and tools needed when looking for the best insurance company and policy. He also reviews what to look for when selecting an insurance company, what terms and conditions are a must, tips for filing property loss claims, how to maximize recovery and more.
