|
Representatives of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)) address hot hospitality technology topics during education sessions at the upcoming 2008 BAHA Conference and IT Exhibition. The third annual conference is scheduled for November 5-6 at the Sofitel London Heathrow in London. The two-day conference, produced by the British Association of Hospitality Accountants (BAHA), includes informative sessions for finance and IT professionals. |
"We are delighted to welcome such distinguished international experts in the field of hospitality technology to address the BAHA Conference and IT Exhibition," said Carl Weldon, CEO of BAHA. "The conference focuses on managing to sustain future profitability and the knowledge HFTP representatives posses in the future of hospitality technology is a great asset to the conference."
HFTP Global President Jules Sieburgh, CHTP, hospitality consultant with O'Neal Consultants and 1998 inductee into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, uses over 20 years of industry experience to speak about the fast paced world of technology. His session addresses how changes in consumer behavior and decision making affects guests' needs and expectations. He also explores changes happening with new hotel ventures and the technologies that are shaping the changes in operations.
HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE, presents the latest version of G2X's (GUESTROOM 20X) futuristic model hotel room. The session highlights some of the exhibit's futuristic technologies, including non-traditional types of technology such as lighting, fabrics and furniture, as well as traditional technology such as next-generation televisions and phones. The third version of the exhibit was on display in June at HITEC 2008 in Austin, Texas. The next version of G2X debuts at HITEC 2009 June 23-25, 2009 in Anaheim, Calif.
Also speaking is HFTP member Ted Horner, managing director of E Horner & Associates and the 2004 inductee into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame. He closes the conference discussing what the future holds for guestroom technology.
Other BAHA Conference educational topics include accounting technical matters, the strategic use of IT and benchmarking performance. In addition, the conference offers a chance to network and further enhance knowledge and skills through participation in a number of thought provoking panel forums and workshops on important finance-related industry topics.
